You can book your NWA biking experience as a string of challenging rides interspersed with a few nights under the ubiquitous and questionable bedspread, curtains drawn against lights in the parking lot, listening to heater noises or you could make your downtime as memorable as the trail.

Pool your resources and you and nine friends could rent a sprawling five-bedroom, four-bath lake home a few bike miles away from the trail you came to challenge for way less cash. Spent the morning ripping gnarly challenges on the Back 40 in long sleeves and a face helmet? Cool off with a swim, keep on spinning with a kayak race. Loser buys the beer.
Traveling with your SO and looking for the promised romantic weekend and private getaway for the down time. You know you’ll all be stoked after the race and will want to celebrate. A quick bike ride to the Back 40, amazing access to Lake Rayburn—a kayaker’s haven. And when ‘jfa’ (just fooling around) on the lake and hiking trails have worn out even the most sporting of kids, grilled burgers on the deck, three tvs w/cable, internet, hot shower, and a comfortable bed are a pretty strong antidote for the “I’m so bored” family vacation blues. Maybe even off to bed in time for some adult down time.
Privacy and spectacular beauty in a romantic tree house retreat. Not literally, of course—although that might be available as well. This two-bedroom house in the middle of the Ozark Mountains delivers nature comfortably through a wall of floor to ceiling windows overlooking the forest or from a huge sun dappled deck under a canopy of trees.
