The Country Club Vista Room offers an elegant indoor option too. Guests can enjoy spectacular views from the terrace and show off their best moves on the dance floor.No matter where you choose to have your ceremony and reception, the surrounding beauty is perfect for pictures - formals, snapshots, and selfies.Dressing suites for the wedding party are available. The Mildred B. Cooper Chapel was designed by architects E. Fay Jones and Maurice Jennings. This steel and glass chapel nestled on a wooded hilltop overlooking Lake Norwood is pretty dreamy from the outside. Surrounded by towering pines and stately oaks, the structure is see-through with a cozy, shaded approach as inviting as a fairytale.Inside, 50 main arches tower 50 feet high like the pointed Gothic arches of cathedrals from the Middle Ages. Within the main arches are three or four more arches. The symmetrical style with repetitive elements is inspiring, along with the construction materials. Thirty-one tons of steel join 4,460 feet of glass. Patterns of light and shadow create a subtle, yet ever-changing, ambiance.Yet with all its architectural grandeur, it doesn’t compete with the bride. It lets her shine within the beauty and simplicity of nature.
Simple Pleasures is simply surprising in all that it has to offer for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Some describe it as magical with Art Deco architecture amid a country setting. You can take your pick of an indoor or outdoor ceremony at multiple locations within the property. It also lends itself to the convenience of having your wedding and your reception in the same location.The pastoral setting is gorgeous with 20 landscaped acres and two waterfalls. The main building has a covered deck with cocktail tables. Inside, you’ll find luxurious bride and groom suites and a reception hall. Plus, it has everything you need to make your nuptial celebration what it should be - tables and chairs, dance floor, portable bar, Bose sound system, DJ booth, band area, digital projector, on-site parking and more.Have fun arriving in style in one of Simple Pleasure’s classic cars - a 1940s classic or a formal, long and low 1950s or 1960s convertible. You can also treat your guests to a museum tour of more classic cars and vintage items. Simple Pleasure caters or you can bring in your own caterer. The photography locations available are incredible too with vintage settings, waterfalls, classic cars, and rustic outdoor scenes.
